WAP ServerCheck

Introduction

This site enables you to check if your web server has been setup correctly to server WAP pages. The process is simple and involves setting up eight files on your server with the appropriate WAP extensions and then getting the script to check those files. The script has been tested on Apache Web Server running on Linux but should work on any HTTP compliant server. If you have any problems or any comments, please email me at andrew.spiers@virgin.net.

Instructions

The first step is to upload eight files onto your webserver. The content of the files is irrelevant as long as they have the correct extensions and are readable by this script. The files must have the following extensions :

  1. .wml
  2. .wmlscript
  3. .ws
  4. .wmls
  5. .wmlc>
  6. .wmlsc
  7. .wsc
  8. .wbmp

Don't worry if you do not plan to use all of the file extensions, only upload the ones you intend to use.

Next enter the URLs of the files you have uploaded. Leave blank any extensions that you have not upload.
